Today we will study about the Second Coming Jesus coming on the clouds.
Mt 24:30-31 They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will … gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Jesus is prophesied to come again on the clouds of the sky. Is He really coming on the natural clouds of the sky? Or is it another parable? We will never receive Second Coming Jesus if we do not know what the clouds actually mean. Now let's find the answer through the Bible.
Mt 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.
Jesus spoke all things in parables. What about the clouds of the sky?
Let's find out what 'the clouds of the sky' truly means through the prophecy of Jesus' first coming.
Da 7:13-14 There before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. … He was given authority, glory and sovereign power [a kingdom, KJV].
This prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus. Let's study more in detail.
Lk 22:29 I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me.
Jn 17:10 And glory has come to me through them.
Mt 28:18 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Jesus was given authority, glory, and a kingdom from God as prophesied. It means Jesus, the Son of Man, came on the clouds of heaven. Did he actually come on the natural clouds of the sky then? Let's find out.
Jn 6:42 Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, 'I came down from heaven'?
Daniel prophesied that one like a son of man would come on the clouds of the sky. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Daniel. Why, then, did they deny Him who came on the clouds of the sky? Did Jesus fail to fulfill the prophecy? Absolutely not! Here we can plainly see that clouds stands for something else, not natural clouds of the sky. What does it stand for then?
Jude 1:12 They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind.
Pr 25:14 Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of gifts he does not give.
Heb 12:1 We are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses.
Clouds represent a man in the Bible. Jesus, the Son of Man, came in the flesh and was given authority, glory, and sovereign power as prophesied. However, the Jews didn't recognize Him because they expected Him to come on the natural clouds of the sky.
In these last days, Jesus will appear a second time in the flesh, the clouds of the sky. Likewise, nobody can recognize Him like the Jews when he expects Jesus to come on the natural clouds of the sky. In the last days, He will come again in the flesh and gather His elect as prophesied (Mt 24:30).
Those who do nothing but look at the clouds will never see the Second Coming Christ appear in the flesh as prophesied.
Ecc 11:4 Whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.
Next time we will study the sign for us to recognize the Second Coming Jesus. God bless you.
Amen.
